Ugliest rodent in the world: naked mole rat

Naked mole rats live underground in insect-like colonies, and they have little need for good eyesight. Their hairless bodies are also an adaptation for their underground environment. They are really ugly looking but they are also among the longest living of all rodents given their size (up to 30 years). They also have a remarkable resistance to cancer which makes them very interesting to scientists all around the world.
