Ugliest fish in the world: Whitemargin stargazer

The whitemargin stargazer (Uranoscopus sulphureus) belongs to a group of fish that have their eyes on the tops of their heads, rather than on the sides. They bury themselves in sand, then leap upwards to ambush passing prey animals. In addition to the top-mounted eyes, a stargazer also has a large, upward-facing mouth in a large head. Their usual habit is to bury themselves in sand, and leap upwards to ambush prey.
